When a person answers

Choose what happens when a live person picks up an outbound call. If a machine answers, your Voicemail tab settings apply.

Agent personality

Pick the main goal and describe what the AI should do. Texting, emailing, and booking callbacks are built in — the AI uses them automatically when your Basic Goal or Questions call for it (e.g. "ask if they'd like the link texted to them").

Plain-English instructions the AI follows on every call for this campaign. Up to 4000 characters.

Call transfers

Add the phone numbers the AI agent can transfer a live call to, and the reason to transfer for each one. During the call the agent tells the person it is connecting them, keeps them on the line, and rings the number through Twilio.

Numbers are normalized to E.164 on save. The AI only transfers when a condition clearly matches — otherwise it stays on the line and tries to help directly.

Handle call screeners

When a call screener answers first (Google Voice, “record your name”, “say why you’re calling”), the AI agent answers it itself, then waits for the real person to pick up.

Questions (owner-maintained)

What you want the AI to ask or answer. Pick a row from the dropdown, then edit the question and acceptable answers.

Voicemail handling

When the call hits an answering machine, choose how this campaign should respond.

Type or edit the script, then click “Generate AI voice” to create the voicemail in the agent voice. That audio is what contacts hear when the call reaches their voicemail.

The SMS this campaign sends. Click a placeholder chip to insert it at the cursor — it is replaced with each contact’s real value when the text goes out.

Placeholders

[domain] is replaced with this website address when the text is sent. Save it here (or under Placeholders) before using the [domain] token.

[callback] is replaced with a rotating number from your phone lines. Calls to it follow your Receiving tab settings; this number is the call-center fallback.

Choose how this campaign handles incoming calls, texts and emails from contacts.

Incoming calls

Incoming email

Rings the phone number you signed up with so you can hear the agent. We keep trying phone lines until your phone connects, then send this campaign's text from the number that called you and its email draft to your account email. A live window shows each step. The test uses this campaign's saved settings — to test what happens when someone answers, set it on the Calls tab and Save first, then place the test call.
